Era Nodine Barnette

Inman, SC---Mrs. Era Nodine Barnette, 79, of 12 West Clark Road, Apt. 7-A went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 9th, 2010 at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg.
Born in Holly Springs, SC on September 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Andrew and Elizabeth (Jones) Nodine and was the wife of the late James Edward Barnette, having celebrated 18 wonderful years of marriage.
Mrs. Barnette retired after many years of employment from International Wire also known as Phelps Dodge. She was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church and served in the Callie Sims Sunday School Class.
She is survived by five children, son, Harold E. Wingo, Jr. and his wife Darlene of Inman, daughter, Susan W. Bird and her husband Tommy of Inman, son, Gary J. Wingo and his wife Kim of Wellford, son, David M. Wingo of Inman, son, John C. Wingo of Lyman; five siblings, Hubert Nodine of Lafayette, TN, Faye Page of Greer, Dr. Herman Nodine of Rutherfordton, NC, Frances Phillips of Columbus, NC and Nancy Burrell of Lynn, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters, two brothers and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 :00 AM on Friday, March 12th, 2010 in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with. Rev. Jack Hames and Dr. Herman Nodine officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens in Wellford.
