Enzia Corinthia Blackwell Higgins, 94, of 180 Jersey Road, Inman, South Carolina, passed away on February 4, 2025 at her home.
Born in Polk County, North Carolina on June 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Roey Blackwell and was the wife of the late Roscoe Higgins having celebrated 65 years of marriage before his passing in 2016. Mrs. Higgins worked in textiles as an inspector and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by one son, Leonard R. Higgins of Jonesville, South Carolina; one daughter, Janice Fordree and her husband John of Inman, South Carolina; two sisters, Madglene Green of Campobello, South Carolina and Frances Mabry of Inman, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Scott Higgins (Katie) of Jonesville, South Carolina, Ben Fordree (Abby) of Lexington, South Carolina and Jon Ross Fordree (Emily) of Columbia, South Carolina; four great grandchildren, Harper Fordree, Rebekah Fordree, Blaine Higgins, Everett Fordree and her best buddy "Toot".
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by a son, Michael Higgins; one daughter-in-law, Betty Higgins, one great granddaughter, Paislee Kate Higgins and one grandson, Freddie Price.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Seawright Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, SC with Mr. Jon Ross Fordree officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, South Carolina.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Agape Care Group, 706 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302
