Emma Ruth Brannon Turner, 94, of 107 Lyman Ave. passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Turner was born in Union, S. C. on July 2, 1922, a daughter of the late Maude and Emma Smith Brannon. She was the widow of the late John Wesley Turner, a former member of Little Mtn.Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Irene Brown and a son James Howard Turner of Duncan, SC, four grandchildren, Lanny Turner and his wife Jennifer, Mark, Randall, and Ricky Brown, six great-grandchildren, Jesse, Sarah and Madeline Turner, Marcus, and Jordan Brown and Jonathan Patton, three great-great grandchildren, Madison and Carolina Patton and Memphis Rappaport. She was predeceased by five sisters and one brother.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 Noon at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 PM at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Greer, SC conducted by Dr. Scott Stancil. The family will be at the home.
