Cowpens, SC--Mrs. Emma Bell Edmonds Higgins, 88, of 276 Water Mill Road Cowpens, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 26,2012.
Born in Inman, SC on July 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Eulala (Owens) and Tom T. Edmonds and was the wife of the late Mr. Arceamious (R.C.) Higgins.
She was a homemaker and member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Jeanette H. Warnick (Russell) of Alabama, Jean Bellew (Dale) of Spartanburg, Linda Juray (Robert) of New Jersey and Debra Jennings (Chip) of Cowpens; one sister, Josephine Slaten (Ed) of Pacolet; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter, Betty Jo Blanton, one son, Thomas C. Higgins, one granddaughter, Debbie Jean Bellew along with two brothers and one sister.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 29,2012 from 10-11AM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 11 :00 AM with Rev. Kenneth Cash officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Inman, SC.
