Emma Grace Blackwell Brown, 85, of 295 East Pearl Street, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018, at White Oak Manor of Spartanburg. Emma was born in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, on August 17, 1933, a daughter of the late William Henry Blackwell and Cora Esther (McKelvey) Blackwell. Emma was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Edna Louise Brown Fullenwinder, and her husband, Robert; Hilda Grace Brown Waldrop; two sons Rickey Lee Brown, and his wife, Wanda; Randy Allen Brown, and his wife, Vickie.
Emma is also survived by a sister, Anna Jane Blackwell Newman; a brother, Joseph Charles Blackwell; a sister-in-law, Shirley Blackwell; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Brown was predeceased by a brother, Henry Arnold Blackwell and a sister and two brothers-in-law, Virginia Oveda Blackwell Mahaffey and her husband, Roy; and Bobby Newman.
Visitation will be held at Seawright Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, from 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM. Graveside Services will be conducted by Rev. Andy Case, at 4:00 PM, in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, South Carolina. The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Vickie Brown, 321 Shoreham Lane, Inman, South Carolina, 29349. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 501, St. Jude's Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38101-2151 or to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 950 Faris Road, Greenville, South Carolina, 29605.
