Elliott "JR" Neese, 85, of 5084 Highway 357, Campobello, South Carolina, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Jr was born in Neeses, South Carolina on June 20, 1930, a son of the late Elliott and Evie Williamson Neese, Sr. He was a Korean War veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He attended Lake Cooley Baptist Church and was the retired owner and operator of JR's Pool Store in Inman, South Carolina. Mr. Neese is survived by his wife, Cleo Thompson Neese of the home; a son, Rodney Elliott Neese and his wife Tricia of the home; two sisters, Carolyn Davis and Susie Camp both of Columbia, South Carolina and one grandson, Blake Craig of Enoree, South Carolina. In addition to his parents, JR was predeceased by two daughters, Patti Craig and Elaine Johnson. A Visitation will be held, Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Lake Cooley Baptist Church from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM. A Memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Lake Cooley Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Mark Cannon and Mr. Phil Demery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Lake Cooley Baptist Church, 2591 Ballenger Road, Wellford, SC 29385.
