Mrs. Elizabeth Gosnell Myers, 89, of 1025 John Dodd Road Spartanburg died Friday, March 21st, 2008 at her residence.
Mrs. Myers was born in Spartanburg, SC on November 26, 1918, the daughter of the late Tandy and Beola McElrath Gosnell.
She retired from Spartan Mills and also as the co-owner of Inman Seed and Supply.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was first married to the late Samuel Nesbitt.
Survivors include a son, Samuel A. "Chuck" Nesbitt and his wife Kay of Marietta, Ga, a brother, Cleveland Gosnell and his wife Katherine of Spartanburg, three grandchildren, William Nesbitt, Janice Nesbitt, and Christopher Nesbitt, a nephew, Chick Gosnell and his wife Rev. Linda Gosnell of Simpsonville, and a great niece, Jodi Gosnell.
Funeral services will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Monday at 3:00pm with Rev. Monty King and Rev. Linda Gosnell officiating.
Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Monday 2:00 until 3:00 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice 120 Heywood Ave., Suite 300 Spartanburg, SC 29302.
