Elizabeth Louise Morton

Elizabeth Louise Morton, 81, of 1067 Jenkins St. passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Binghamton, New York on June 6, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Bertha Evelyn (Edwards) and Harold Leland Harding and was the wife of the late Rev. Arden "Andy" Neil Morton. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Boiling Springs and for more than 26 years worked for Milliken and Company maintaining the Milliken Guest House. She is survived by two sons, Gary Morton, of Landrum, SC and Gregg Morton, of Columbia, SC; a daughter, Gail Spitznogle of Mill Spring, NC; a sister, Dawn Ackley, of Clearwater, FL. and a brother, James Harding, of Kirkwood, NY. along with five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Janice Hesse and a brother, Harold L. Harding, Jr. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Bethel Assembly of God with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor James Cencebaugh officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Assembly Church of God, 561 Upper Valley Falls Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
