Elizabeth (Betty) McCall

June 19, 1930 — July 30, 2012

Elizabeth (Betty) Glover McCall, 82, formerly of 2791 Bishop Road, passed away Monday, July 30th, at Camp Care Nursing Home in Inman.
Mrs. McCall was born in Spartanburg, SC on June 19, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Claude C. and Lois Suber Glover. She was the widow of the late Myron G. McCall and was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High and a former resident of Granite Quarry, NC where she was very active in church life in the choir. Mrs. McCall was a former Medical Record Librarian at Spartanburg General Hospital, past President of American Legion Auxiliary Post # 448, volunteer for the Veterans Hospital in Salisbury, NC for 30 years and was the 1982 recipient of Those Who Care Award.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet S. McCall of Inman, a grandson, Kirk and her sister-in-law Lib Glover of Spartanburg. There are also a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. McCall was predeceased by her brother, Daniel E. Glover.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012 at 6:30 PM at Lake Bowen Baptist Church, 404 Sugar Ridge Rd., Inman, SC conducted by Rev. Mark Williams. The family is at 2791 Bishop Rd., Inman, SC 29349. An online guest register is available at: www.seawright-funeralhome.com
