Elizabeth Farmer

Miss Elizabeth Farmer, 101, a long time resident of Inman, died at Lake Emory Post Acute Care on September 17, 2014. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of Luther D. and Eva Barnett Farmer. She was a graduate of Campobello High School and Limestone College. She taught school for 43 years at Holly Springs, Fingerville and Inman Elementary Schools. She was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and worked in WMU as long as her health allowed. The funeral service will be held at Holston Creek Baptist Church on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM, with Dr. Reggie Parker and Rev. Tom Brannon officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM in the church. The Friendship Sunday School Class will serve as honorary escort. Burial will be at Motlow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: Holston Creek Baptist Church, 311 Holston Creek Church Road, Inman, SC 29349 or to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P. 0. Box 127, Landrum, SC 29356.
