Elizabeth Grant Brannon, 85, of 117 Holly Tree Lane, Inman, went home to be with her Lord Monday, November 5, 2012 at Regional Hospice Home.
She was born in Spartanburg County on October 16, 1927, a daughter of the late Gertrude Page Williams and Clarence Grant and was a step daughter of the late Howard G. Williams. She was the widow of Claude Allan Brannon.
She was formerly employed at Janet's Cloth Shop and Fran's Fashions.
She was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Winsome Sunday School Class and active in the church choir. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 45 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter, Allyson Norris and husband Billy of Inman, a brother, Ervin Williams and wife Lynne of Inman, granddaughters, Rebecca Fortner and fiancé' Kyle Mathis of Boiling Springs, Stephanie Fortner of Inman, nieces, Gail Waldrop and husband Bennie of Inman, Deana Roe and husband Ryan of Inman, and a nephew, Ricky Grant and wife Freda of Inman. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Grant.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 7 at 2:00 PM at Holston Creek Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Reggie Parker and Rev. Mark Williams. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home and will receive friends Wednesday 1:00 until 1:45 at Holston Creek Baptist Church.
