Eleanor West Fowler

Eleanor Mae West Fowler, 82, of 203 Vega St, passed away Friday, July 10th, 2009 at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Fowler was born in Inman on July 26, 1926, the daughter of the late Jessie James and Letta Mae (Tapp) West and step daughter of the late Mae Sue Nodine. She was the widow of Richard Raymond Fowler.
She had retired as a CRT operator from Sears after twenty years of service and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Lucile Gosnell of Inman, five brothers, Cecil West of Inman, Leon West and Fred West of Spartanburg, Willie West of Una, SC, and Michael West of Campobello. There are also a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers, Roy, John, Claude, and Harold West, and also a stillborn infant brother and a sister, Grace Emery.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 13, 2009 from 2:30 to 4:00 PM. at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman. Services will follow at 4:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by the Revs. Sean Fortner and Eddie Robertson.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman. The family will be at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Ave., Suite 300 Spartanburg, SC 29302.
