Mrs. Eleanor Martha Bridges, 79, of 6830 New Cut Road, Inman died Sunday, January 16th, 2011 at Camp Care Nursing Home in Inman.
Mrs. Bridges was born in Inman on August 30, 1931, the daughter of the late Robert Hobson and Minnie Eileen Green Shehan and was the widow of Lowell Brennen Bridges.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Bridges of Jackson, Ms., Bob Bridges and his wife Sue of Lakeland, Fl., one daughter, Robin Bridges of the home, and a brother, Lewis Shehan and his wife Frankie of Tryon, NC. She was predeceased by two sisters, Katherine Brown and Lucille Everett.
She retired from Spartanburg School District One after 26 years as a secretary at Chapman High School and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church.
The family is at the home and will receive friends on Thursday, January 20th, 3:00-4:00pm at Seawright Funeral Home.
A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 4:00pm conducted by Rev. Michael Bragg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society 150 Dexter Rd. Spartanburg, SC 29303.
