Elaine McNeely Dotherow, 80, of 111 Hendrix Drive, Boiling Springs, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg. Elaine was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 13, 1941, a daughter of the late Marie Rhyne McNeely and Chalmers McNeely. She was the wife of Don Linn Dotherow whom she loved and adored having celebrated 28 wonderful years of marriage.
She was employed at A.V. Wrays and Son in Forest City, North Carolina, and later worked in the cosmetic department at Belks at Westgate Mall and retired from the accounting department at Spartanburg Medical Center.
She loved Papa, her children, grandchildren & great grands. She never met a stranger. Everyone who knew her loved her. She loved LIFE, bling & Animal Print. She fought a good fight with grace & dignity. Now our bedazzled angel is in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
She was a member of United Methodist Church of the Covenant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Tommy Wilson (Paula), of Forest City, NC; Timothy Wilson (Dena), of Conway, SC; daughter, Tina Kasch (Russell) of Spartanburg, SC; step-son, Scott Dotherow (Melinda) of Inman, SC, step-daughter, Mitzi Dotherow and fiance (Mike Camp)) of Boiling Springs, SC, grandchildren, Rebekah Walker (Lucas), Tommy Wilson (Erin), Rachel Suttle (Brannon), Juliet St Lawrence (Zach), Abel Wilson (fiance, Michelle), Olivia Wilson, Josiah Wilson, Taylor Rhyne Kasch, Courtney Dotherow and 6 great grandchildren; one nephew, Alan McNeely and two nieces, Ann Cole and Anita Massey.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by two brothers, Robert McNeely and Donald McNeely.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at United Methodist Church of the Covenant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the church.
