Edward Dean Hannon, 91, of Magnolia Place, Spartanburg, and formerly of 8810 New Cut Road, Campobello died Monday, April 11, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Arthur and Juanita Belcher Hannon, born January 2, 1920. He was predeceased by his wife, Grace Waldrop Hannon.
Mr. Hannon first retired from Jackson Mill and then retired from Spartanburg County School District One. He was a member of Motlow Creek Baptist Church in Campobello.
Survivors include a son, Howard D. Hannon of Boiling Springs, a daughter, Juanita H. Patton and her husband Randy of Simpsonville, a granddaughter, Meg Patton all of Simpsonville, a sister Gertrude Thompson Ayers of Inman, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 2:00pm at Motlow Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Terry Rainey and Rev. Donald Waldrop. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Wednesday 1:00 until 2:00pm in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Motlow Baptist Church for their Guatemala Mission Trip or for their youth camp.
