 Edward Dennis Downey, 66, of Inman, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum. 
Edward was born in Spartanburg on January 5, 1957, a son of Evelyn Gosnell Downey, of Inman and the late Edward Defoy Downey.
He was a graduate of Chapman High School and was an employee of Mountain View Custom Log Cabins.
In addition to his mother, Edward is also survived by a sister, Patsy Pinker and her husband, Steve, of Inman, a brother, Glenn Downey, and his wife, Carla, of Inman, four nephews, Michael Downey (Kimberly), Christopher Downey (Haley), Stephen Pinker (Michele), Chad Pinker (Sarah), and seven great nieces and nephews, Madison, Maya, Cayson, Kolby, Nyrie, Elijah, and Keelan.

The family is at the home and will receive friends 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15th at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman. 
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15th at Seawright Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Robbins and Pastor Nancy Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman.
