Edward C. Ballenger, 86, of Lyman passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was the son of the late Ira C. and Pauline Blalock Ballenger, and was first married to the late Patricia Parks Ballenger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and attended People's Baptist Church in Greer. He retired as a driver for Pope Trucking.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Ballenger, of the home; two sons, Donald Ballenger (Lisa), Brian Ballenger (Brandi); one stepson, Scott Ballenger (Laura); five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. In addition to his first wife, and parents, he was also predeceased by a son, Shawn Ballenger. 

The family is at the home, and will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 PM, conducted by Rev. Larry Padgett, and Rev. Harold King.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Spartanburg Regional Hospice for their wonderful care.
