Edna Hopper Wilkerson

Edna H. Wilkerson, 92, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Cooley Springs, SC on May 8, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Dora (Nodine) and Thomas Earl Hopper and was the wife of the late Howard Lee Wilkerson. She was also predeceased by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Mrs. Wilkerson was the oldest Lady member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, having been a member since 1952. She was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class and served in the nursery department for over twenty years. During the span of her life, Edna devoted her time to taking care of numerous children and was lovingly referred to as "Granny". She was also well known for her beautiful hand-stitched quilts. She always left people with a hug and with laughter from her hilarious jokes. Mrs. Edna will be sorely missed by her church family, neighbors, and by anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting her.
A memorial service will be held at Rock Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Billy Rice and Rev. Johnny Bridges officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Bowen Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Rock Hill Baptist Church, 2740 Bishop Road, Inman, SC 29349.
