Inman, SC--Mrs. Edith Elfriede Mosbach Allison, 80, of 8 Culbreth Street went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Allison was born in Offenbach, Germany on December 6, 1928, the daughter of the late Anthon Aloysius and Sophie nee Jackel Mosbach and was the wife of 56 years to the late Clyde Allison.

She was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church, American Legion Post #45 Ladies Auxiliary and was retired from Woolworth's Department Store where she worked at the lunch counter.

She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Diane Loan of Inman, a grandson, Derrill McKelvey and his fianc Erika Leatherman of Gaffney, three granddaughters, Alisha Kiwitz and her husband Paul, Kristen Loan, and Rachael Loan all of Inman and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Otto Mosbach.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Diane, 108 Rushmore Dr., Inman, SC and will receive friends1-1:45 PM on Tuesday, May, 5, 2009 at Seawright Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will follow at 2 PM at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC conducted by Pastor Gene Baker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29310 or Shriners Children's Hospital, 950 Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605-4277 or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
