Earnest O. Human, Jr.
The much loved Earnest O. Human, Jr., of 826 Happy Valley Rd., Union, SC suddenly departed this life, January 12, 2008, doing what he enjoyed! Known to family and friends as Junior, Red or Slim, he never met a stranger and always introduced himself to everyone he saw by saying "Hi, I'm Human, who are you?"
Mr. Human is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Penny and David Lambert of St. Matthews, SC, son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Sandra Human and daughter-in-law, Joie Human of Campobello, SC. His grandchildren, Pamala and Chris Golden and Matthew Lambert of St. Matthews, Jeffrey Human of Landrum and Nathan, Barbara, Kenneth and Kevin Human and his great-grand sons McKenzie and Gabriel.
Mr. Human is predeceased by his wife, Barbara Human, one son, Stoney Human and parents, Ernest and Viola Human and two brothers, Calvin Human and Charles Human and sister Hazel Ness.
Mr. Human retired from the U.S. Air Force where he proudly served his country from 1947-1968. He also retired from Sears and Roebuck Co. in Union. Known around Union as part of the old "Hardees's Bunch" he frequently had breakfast at McDonalds. But his favorite place to have coffee was often at the Waffle Houses on 1- 26 as he would travel the roads visiting his children.
Funeral services will be at Walnut Hill Baptist Church, where he was a lifelong member at on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 3 PM with the Rev. Todd Johnson and Ron Towery officiating. The family is at the home of Joie Human, 1904 Old Mill Rd., Campo bello and will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1 :OOPM until 2:45PM.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made to: Walnut Hill Baptist Church Building fund, 675 Walnut Hill Church Rd., Campobello, S.C. 29322, or the charity of one's choice.
