Inman, SC---Durand Edward "Hollywood" McClure, 86, of 871 Winterhawk Circle, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 12, 2017.
Born in Saluda, NC on January 13, 1931, he was a son of the late Rev. Edward D. and Nettie (Pace) McClure and was the loving husband of Evelyn (Bruce) McClure having celebrated 67 years of marriage on June 3, 2017.
Mr. McClure was a member of Dependent Baptist Chuch, a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean War and retired from Firestone Steel where he worked as a tool and die maker for many years.
In addition to his wife, Evelyn, he is survived by four children, Eddie McClure and wife, Debbie, Randy McClure and wife, Cynthia, Karen Peeler and husband, Keith and Robert McClure and wife, Tammy; two sisters, Katherine Wilson of Inman, SC and Rachel McMillan of Denver, CO; along with 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth McClure and Vivian Bell and three brothers, Olin McClure, Rev. Thomas McClure and Ulysses McClure.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Dependent Baptist Church in Inman, SC, with Dr. Joe Geddes officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 9:30 AM Tuesday for viewing. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dependent Baptist Church "Durand Land Playground" Fund, PO Box 934, Inman, SC 29349. The family is at the home.
