Dr. John J.D. Turner

Dr. John Dean "J.D." "Papa John" Turner, 84, of 980 Sloan Road Inman, South Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 15, 2021.Born in Inman, South Carolina on April 5, 1937, he was the son of Eva Vera Turner and was the husband of Patsy Sloan Turner. He was a former member of Inman Presbyterian Church and a current member at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Turner was a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army and retired from Cotton Incorporated in Raleigh, North Carolina.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, Christie and Sara along with three grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

The family will receive friend on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Holly Springs Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 Noon at Holly Springs Baptist Church, 251 Hannon Road, Inman, South Carolina with Dr. Tim Clark and Mr. Travis Sloan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
