Doyle Lee Shell

Campobello, South Carolina---Doyle Lee Shell, 90, of Campobello, SC, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at his residence. 

Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 3, 1932, he was a son of the late Coreba Elizabeth (Woolen) Shell and Samuel Patrick Shell and was the husband of the late Shirley Ann (Pierce) Shell.

He worked as an equipment inspector at Southern Railway and was a member of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg.

Doyle is survived by three daughters, Doyla Longshore and husband, Ralph, of Lyman, SC; Susan Rose, of Greenwood, SC; Anita Haney and husband Michael, of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Cawood Shell, of Piedmont, SC and Patrick Shell, of Inman, SC, 7 grandchildren, Michael Cotton (Shauna), Laura Wood (Nathan), Randy Cotton (Christina), Kelly Clark Cisewski (Bryan), Andrew Clark (Miranda) and Ryan Haney (Stephanie) and Ashley Finno along with 18 great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and his parents, he was also predeceased by a grandson, Denis Cotton and one son-in-law, Tony Rose.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 1:00-1:50 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, SC with Rev. Brad Atkins and Dr. Michael Hamlet officiating.  Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC.
