Douglas Lane Cartee

Douglas "Doug" Lane Cartee, 67, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at his home.

Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on February 1, 1953, he was a son of the late Ida Mae (Edwards) Cartee and Belton Cartee and was the husband of Debra Jean O'shields Cartee.

Doug was a member of New Life Baptist Fellowship, worked as a contractor and was a softball umpire.

In addion to his wife Debra, he is also survived by two daughters, Tonya Dukes (Shannon) and Crystal Davis (Kyle); one son, Keith Cartee (Jennifer); six siblings, Donna Lee, Mike Cartee, Libby Richards, Vicki Staggs, Jerry Cartee and Cathy Cartee and seven grandchildren, Bailey Davis, Tyler Dukes, Chandler Dukes, Jorja Babb, Collyn Davis, Kinsley Davis and Karolina Cartee.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 12:00 - 1:45 PM at New Life Baptist Fellowship, 350 Old Furnace Road, Boiling Springs, South Carolina. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the church with Rev. Scott Miller and Rev. Bill Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Cartee Family Cemetery.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be, Jamie Gillian, Lloyd McDaniel, Ronnie Gamble, Dean Dill, Carrie Lyons, George Clash and Judy Dinelle.

Serving as Pallbearers will be, Tyler Dukes, Chandler Dukes, Bailey Davis, Drew Greene, Jeremy Morgan and Matt Parker.
