Mrs Dorris Seidenspinner Gray, 88, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Thursday, July 15th, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Gray was born in Glouster, MS on October 11, 1921, the daughter of the late Rev Grover Cleveland and Frankie (Toler) Seidenspinner and was the widow of Arthur Daniel Gray.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Cynthia Gray Silverman of Black Mountain, NC, Lisa Alice Long and husband Beau of Spartanburg, Teresa Gray Rice and husband Michael of Lexington, NC, 5 grandchildren: Lissa Mooney, Christopher Rice, Austin Long, Cooper Long, Hannah Silverman and her father Edward Silverman, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She retired from teaching having taught in District Six, Spartanburg and Inman schools and also in Mississippi.
She was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she was a member of the Class of the Open Door Sunday School Class.
Cryptside services will be held Monday, July 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Heritage Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Dr Herbert Garrett officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice 120 Heywood Ave., Suite 300, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or the charity of one's choice..
