Dorothy Janette Wilson
Dorothy "Dot" Janette Wilson, 81, of 83 East Main Street, Inman, SC, passed away, Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Dorothy was born in Campobello, SC on November 6, 1930, a daughter of the late Amy (Smith) and Charles Lorenzo Smith.
She was the wife of Ray Kent Wilson, Sr who survives her, and this Sunday, May 13,2012 they would have celebrated 62 years of marriage.
She retired from Inman Family Practice as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. She was a 50-year member of the Nurse's Association.
She was a member of Inman First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Cheerios Club and was a former Sunday school teacher for many years.
Dorothy is survived by
a daughter, Debbie Belue and husband Jerry of Landrum, SC;
a son, Ray "Kenny" Wilson, Jr and wife Tonya of Shaftsbury, VT; Dorothy is also survived by
a sister, Ruth Gosnell, of Spartanburg; two brothers, Sonny Smith, of Campobello; Billy Smith, of Motlow; 4 grandchildren, John Holland Belue, Charles Wilson Belue, Michael Ray Wilson, Matthew Kelly Wilson, 7 great grandchildren and her very special pet, Trixie.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday in the church atrium from 1:00 - 300 PM.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12,2012 at 3:00 PM at Inman First Baptist Church, Inman, SC, with Dr. Paul Moore, Dr Jerry Lehman and Rev Jeremiah Childers officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC.
