After a courageous battle, Dorothy (Dottie) Anita Broyles, 57, flew with the angels on Sunday, January 2, 2022. She was born on a sunny Sunday, May 10, of 1964, which was also Mother's Day! Dottie was the daughter of Sarah and Dwane Broyles of Spartanburg. She was very involved in the Spartanburg area where she lived her busy life as a potter designing beautifully unique ceramics as well as creating many other art projects and always as a member of the Methodist faith. Dottie worked as a realtor at Keith-Evans Real Estate and was a talented, all-around-can-do-anything Handywoman maintaining personal rental properties and those of others. Dottie enjoyed people and was an active member of Spartanburg County Commission of Voter's Registration, board member of Mountainview Nursing Home, and previously a board member and volunteer for SAFE Homes and Rape Crisis.
In addition to her parents, Dottie is also survived by her two sisters, Cynthia Broyles Dalton (Tom) and Caroline Broyles Henson (Michael); her soulmate who kept the smile on her face, Charles (Chuck) H. Ridings, and her big furbaby of 13+ years, Daisey, which was also Dottie's favorite flower.
Please join her family and friends for a Celebration of Life to be held at Central United Methodist Church in Spartanburg on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 3:00 in the afternoon.
