Doris McCarter Shehan

Doris Jean McCarter Shehan, 93, of Brevard, North Carolina but formerly of Inman, South Carolina passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025. 

Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on July 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Gladys McCarter and John S. McCarter and was the wife of the late Russell Broadus Shehan.

Mrs. Shehan was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church and was the office manager for Shehan Sheet Metal. 

She is survived by her son, William Upton and his wife Carol of Brevard, North Carolina and her granddaughter, Lauren Caitlin Upton of Los Angeles, California. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 2:00-2:45PM at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina. 

Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitch Crow officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, South Carolina.
