Doris C. Pruitt

Mrs. Doris Caldwell Pruitt, 91, of 461 Rock Hill Church Road, Inman, SC, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at White Oak at North Grove in Spartanburg, SC. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Kate (Denton) Caldwell and Aubrey Lamar Caldwell.

She was a devoted member of Inman Presbyterian Church, where she helped organize Circle 3. For over 40 years the circle faithfully cleaned the church every week. She was a former employee of Hammond-Brown-Jennings Furniture Company and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband Julian C. Pruitt, two sons, Richard E. Pruitt and his wife Sue of Campobello, SC, Rev. John C. Pruitt of Kernersville, NC and two grandchildren, Jacob and Mary Grace Pruitt and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Caldwell and 5 sisters, Hallie White, Angie McCutcheon, Zell Hawkins, Margie Dickson and Allene Cooley.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 13th at Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, SC with Rev. Rick Brown and Rev. John C. Pruitt officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of her son, Rick at 250 Alverson Road, Campobello, SC
