Mrs. Doris Evelyn Chavis, 70, of 105 Babb Rd Campobello, SC passed away Wednesday, November 24th, 2010 at Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg, S.C.
Mrs. Chavis was born in Spartanburg, SC on November 19, 1940, the daughter of the late Preston and Josephine (Greene) Burrell. She was first married to the late Don Parris.
She is survived by daughters: Jan Chavis Auman of Inman, Donna Dugat of Campobello, Karen Bellew of Campobello, Vannessa Chavis of Inman, Connie Rhymer of Pauline, sons: Charles Chavis, Jr of New Prospect, Richard Parris of Gaffney, Robert Parris of Campobello, Joe Parris of Campobello, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She was the widow of Charles Arthur Chavis, Sr., was formerly employed at SC Elastic and was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church.
The family is at the home of her daughter: 828 Doc Thompson Lane, Inman and will receive friends Friday, November 26, 2010 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM. at Seawright Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Garden in Inman, S. C.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seawright Funeral Home , PO Box 192, Inman, SC 29349.
