Donna Ruth Cothran
Mrs. Donna Ruth Mathis Cothran, 59, of 161 Gramling School Rd. Inman, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 14th, 2008 at her residence.
Mrs. Cothran was born in Spartanburg, SC on September 20, 1948, the daughter of the late Ruth (O'Shields) and Walter William Mathis and her stepmother Edith S. Mathis who survives her of Inman. She was the wife of Guy Fulton Cothran, having celebrated 41 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, father and stepmother, she is survived by two sons, Scott Cothran and his wife Beverly of Boiling Springs, SC, Mark Cothran and his wife Kelly of Inman, SC; two grandchildren, Tyler and Abigail Cothran, and special friends Larry and Sharon Chapman of Holly Springs, SC.
A Memorial Service will be held at Holston Creek Baptist Church, at 2 PM on Thursday, April 17th, with Rev. Donnan Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mobile Meals PO Box 461 Spartanburg, SC 29304 or Spartanburg Regional Hospice 120 Heywood Ave., Suite 300 Spartanburg, SC 29302.
