Donald Royce Smith, 80, of 464 Flowerwood Lane Inman, passed away Wednesday, September 21st, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Don was born in Rocky Mount, NC on September 25, 1935, a son of the late Cammie Elizabeth Forrest Smith and David Morton Smith. He was the husband of Barbara Steadman Smith.
He retired as a self employed computer programmer and was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. He served in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons; David Smith (Trish) of Inman, Rev. Duane Smith (Angelina) of Williamston, Scott Smith of Inman, grandchildren; Thomas Patrick Spencer, Kirsten Cox, Mariah Smith, Faith Smith; great grandchildren, Brody Cox, Grace Cox; step grandchildren, Mason and Angel; and two step great grandchildren.
Interment services are private. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday September 26 at his home.
