Donald Wayne Malcolm

Donald Wayne Malcolm, 48, of 861 Floyd Rd. Ext., Spartanburg, passed away Wednesday, June 10th, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Spartanburg on November 23, 1960 the son of the late Gary Herbert Malcolm and Gladys Hall Malcolm Estes who survives him of Forest City, NC.

He was raised by his grandmother, the late Lula Gosnell Hall until her passing in 1997. His stepfather is Earl F. Estes of Forest City, NC. Also surviving are three brothers, Gary Christopher Malcolm and his wife Susan of Ellenboro, NC , William Timothy Malcolm and his wife Teresa and Daniel Wade Malcolm and his wife Joyce of Rutherford County, NC, two sisters, Darlene Tucker and her husband Frank of Cedar Springs, SC, and Cindy Remeis and her husband Chris of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by a roommate and caregiver, Michael Dean Roark of the home and his parents, Barbara and Carl Roark of Davenport, FI., whom Donald loved very much! He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Estes-Harper-Wagner.

Donald was owner-operator of Drayton Florist in Spartanburg and was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church since the age of 9.

Funeral services will held Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 3:00 PM in Beaumont Baptist Church in Spartanburg with Revs, John H. Cox and Philip Whelchel officiating. The family will receive friends from 1: 30 PM to 3:00 PM at the church. Serving as pallbearers are Conrad Lehmann, Terry Smith, Jim Batchler, Richard Foster, Brian Pruitt and Robert Abrams. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg. The family will be at the home.
