 Donald Gene Humphries, 74, of 16 Smythe Street, Spartanburg, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center. 
Don was born in Rutherfordton, NC on January 14, 1949, a son of the late Effie Daggerhart Humphries and Jim Gaither Humphries. He was the widower of Bessie Ann Scruggs Humphries.
He had worked for Blakley Electric and was a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God in Greer 
Survivors include his daughter; Crystal Cook and her husband, Michael of Inman, a sister; Linda Short of Blacksburg, four grandchildren; Amber Sprouse (Zach), Caleb Cook (Holly), Katelyn Pack (Austin), Ashlyn Cook, four great grandchildren; Nicholas, Chandler, Levi, and Magnolia. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also predeceased by a son; Avery Williamson. The family is at the home of his daughter and son in law.
 Visitation will be held 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 26th at the graveside at Heritage Memorial Gardens.
Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Saturday, August 26th at Heritage Memorial Gardens  with Rev. Jerry Madden officiating.
