Robert Donald "Don" Almond, 83, of 329 Bullman Road, Roebuck, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Don was born in Elberton, GA on February 15, 1935, a son of the late Jesse Wester Almond and Sally Elizabeth Bowers Almond. He was an entrepreneur and was the former owner and operator of Capital Monuments in Spartanburg for a number of years. He served in the United States Army and he was a baptist.
Don is survived by two daughters, Lisa Blain of Roebuck; Dondra Almond of Spartanburg; two sons Bobby Almond and his wife Pam, of Elberton, GA; Jerry Almond and his wife Karen, of Roebuck; eleven grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a brother, Jerald Almond.
The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 on Sunday, November 4th at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman. Burial will be at a later date in Elmhurst Cemetery in Elberton, GA.
