Dewitt Talmadge Splawn

Inman, SC--- DeWitt Talmadge Splawn, 80, of 241 Golightly St. passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Born in Campobello, SC on September 20, 1936, he was a son of the late Theodore and Pearlie (Hunsinger) Splawn and was the husband of the late Amelia Faye "Pete" (Brown) Splawn. Mr. Splawn served in the United States Navy, was employed for many years at Bigleow and also District 7 and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He is survived by three daughters, Donna Bumgarner of Inman, SC, Lisa Barnwell (Byron) of Campobello, SC and Christi Gosnell (Eddie) of Laurens, SC; three sisters, Barbara Gilmer, Joyce Campbell (Larry), Thelma Judd; two brothers, Leon Splawn and Donald Splawn; five grandchildren, Erica Queen (Matt), Lake Bumgarner, Papa's special pal and grandson, Matthew Steven Cogdill (Miranda), Beth Gosnell and Christina Gosnell; two great grandchildren, Papa's baby girl, Penelope Cogdill and Madison Queen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
