DeWane Adelbert Brenner, 87, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
DeWane was born in Plainwell, Michigan on January 28, 1934, a son of the late Lila Eliza Berentha (Hancock) Brenner and Emmanuel Brenner.
He was the husband of Joyce Elaine (Owen) Brenner having celebrated 64 years of marriage.
Mr. Brenner attended Morningside Baptist Church and retired from Huyck where he worked as a chemical engineer. He and his wife Joyce enjoyed boating, playing Bridge and Tennis and he also enjoyed playing Chess.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by three daughters, Tamera Pietrzak and her husband Randy of Oak Ridge, TN, Dianne Johnson and her husband Howard of Inman, SC and Alison Beardsley and her husband Kent of Inman, SC; one son, Matthew Brenner and his wife Christine of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Donna Hess of Arkansas and Naomi Barton of Otsego, MI; ten grandchildren, Brian Johnson, Jessica Hastings, Andrew Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Jennifer Polk, Christine Steward, Emily Edwards, Daniel Beardsley, Madeline Brenner and Thomas Brenner and seven great grandchildren.
He was also predeceased by one brother, Boyd Brenner.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC with Rev. Mitch Crow officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
