DeViolet Powell Rollins, 91, of Inman passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Emeritus in Greenville. She was the last surviving child of the late William Theodore Powell and Roie Howell Powell and was the wife of the late Daniel Robert Rollins.
She was a devoted member of Inman First Baptist Church where she served as secretary-treasurer of the Anna Sunday School Class from many years and was a graduate of Spartanburg High School.
She is survived by three daughters; Jolene Wimberly and husband Wiley of Greenville, Paulette Peyer and husband Peter of Greenville, Sylvia Caldwell and husband Bob of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers, Lee, Russell, Lawson, and Odell Powell.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 10:00am at Seawright Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Dr. Paul Moore. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:00 until 10:00am at the funeral home.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the wonderful staff and caregivers of Emeritus in Greenville and to VistaCare Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Inman First Baptist Church, 14 N. Howard St., Inman, SC 29349.
