Lyman, SC--- Mr. Derwin Dewayne Price, 51, of 420 Inman Road, Lyman, passed away, Thursday, July 17th, 2008. Mr. Price was born in Spartanburg, SC on August 25, 1956, the son of the late Homer James Price and Muriel (Leake) Bingham who survives him of Lyman.
He was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister Elaine P. Sims of Spartanburg; one step brother, Lee Groce of Lyman; two step sisters, Meg Long of Gaffney and Judy Farmer of Pauline; one aunt, Inez Price of Greer; one nephew, Stephen Bradley of Pauline; and two great nephews, Thomas Bradley, David Bradley and a great niece, Virginia Bradley. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service at Holston Creek Baptist Church at 11 AM on Monday, July 21st, with Rev. John Petty officiating. The family is at the home of his sister, Elaine Sims, 245 Sentel Circle, Spartanburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Care Hospice, 500 Jeff Davis Drive Spartanburg, SC 29303.
