Dennis Arthur Sims

Wellford, SC--- Dennis Arthur Sims, 71, of 351 Morgan Road went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 11, 2015 at his home. Born in Wellford, SC on December 28, 1943 he was a son of he late James Oliver and Callie Kimmons Sims and was the husband of Teresa Taylor Sims having celebrated 51 years of marriage. He was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church and worked in construction for many years as a carpenter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Heather Smith (Stacy) of Gray Court, SC ; a son, Jarred Sims (Ashley) of Inman, SC; a sister, Cora Lee Waters (Larry) of Greer, SC and one granddaughter, Natalie Taylor Sims. He was predeceased by four brothers, Lewis Sims, Ansel Sims, Eugene Sims and Claude Sims and two sisters, Sadie Solesbee and Sue Ellen Sims.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 1:30 - 3:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM with Rev. Ansel Norris and Rev. Chad Jordan officiating. Interment will be in the Little Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
