Dennis Grable

Dennis Grable, 86, of Campobello, SC, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Dennis was born in Pontiac, Michigan on May 30, 1940, a son of the late Cernelia (Gerlach) and Raymond Lee Grable. He was the husband of Mary Lynette (Paschal) Grable. In addition to his wife ,he is survived by two daughters, Heather Warnars and her husband Dave and Holly Arends; his grandchildren, Amanda, Chris, Natalie, Melody and Paige; his great grandchildren, Aurora, Kipton, Tyler, Waylon, Beau, Dalton, Kennedy, Jade, Collie, Mason and Orson; a brother, Lee Grable and a sister, Lynn Spencer.

Dennis lived a life devoted to his faith and his family. He spent decades serving his church, holding a seat on the Deacon committee on multiple occasions and dedicating 19 years to Good News Club, along with many more years invested in youth ministry across numerous churches — a calling that shaped much of his life. He also gave generously of his time to Meals on Wheels and was a proud longtime member of the Freemasons. Dennis loved the open road, whether on his motorcycle, pulling his camper, or driving with Lynn in their convertible. He worked with his hands, creating treasured gifts for the people he loved, and he shared 63 years of marriage, a partnership built to last. He was never a stranger for long — he had a gift for making people feel like a friend within minutes, and he touched more lives than we will ever know. Known for his kindness, generosity, and a knack for good-natured teasing, Dennis was, above all, a great family man. He lived by Proverbs 20:7 — a good man leads a life of integrity, and his children are blessed after him.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, June 29th at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Inman, SC with Dr. Tim Clark and Rev. Chris Jackson officiating. Private burial will be in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church Youth Fund 251 Hannon Rd. Inman, SC 29349.
