DeFoix Campbell, 89, of 142 McIntosh Lane Inman, passed away Tuesday, August 21st, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
DeFoix was born in Spartanburg County on December 3, 1928, a son of the late Crawford Lee and Ida Lockhart Campbell. He was the husband of Betty Lee White Campbell.
In addition to his wife, DeFoix is survived by a son,Vernon Campbell and his wife, Andrea of Greer; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters and five brothers and was the last survivor of his immediate family.
DeFoix was an egg and poultry farmer for many years and was retired from McLean Trucking. He was a Baptist, a member of Local #28 Teamsters Union, and was one of the very early members of North Spartanburg Area Fire Department.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Paul Moore officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to North Spartanburg Area Fire Department, 8767 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29316.
