Dean Watson Griffin, 65, of 483 Cinnamon Ridge Drive, Inman, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg.
Dean was born in Polk County, NC on February 26, 1952, a son of the late Virginia Mae (Morrow) and Lee Roy Griffin. He was the widower of Kathy Teresa Davis Griffin. He was a member of Dependent Baptist Church and worked in residential construction. He is survived by a daughter, Michelle Splawn of Inman, a son, Kevin Griffin of Inman, a brother, Paul Griffin of Inman, a sister, Gladys McCombs of Inman, four grandchildren, Shelby and Shea Griffin, Hannah and Hunter Splawn; and his companion and girlfriend, Joann Johnson of the home. The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday 6:00 until 8:00 at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 22nd, with Dr. Joe Geddes officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens in Chesnee.
