David Arnold Timmons

Spartanburg, SC--- David Arnold Timmons, 65, of 1200 Ridgecrest Avenue, Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016. Born in Spartanburg, SC on April 20, 1951, a son of Ruby (Moore) Timmons of Spartanburg and the late J. C. Timmons and was the husband of Bobbie Jean (Brooks) Timmons having celebrated 43 years of marriage.

Mr. Timmons was the owner and operator of Timmons Concessions and was a member of NICA (National Independent Concessionaires Association), IISA (International Independent Showmen's Association), Life Member of Lone Oak Masonic Lodge # 372 and the Hejaz Shrine.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by daughter, Shawn Timmons Sprouse and son-in-law (Chris), of Spartanburg; and son ,Eric Timmons and daughter-in-law (Lauren) of Spartanburg; daughter, Diana Fleifel and husband (Johnny) of Spartanburg; Ten grandchildren, Connor Sprouse, Blake Timmons, Brooks Timmons, Ashlynn Whitesides, Katie Whitesides, Bradley Whitesides, Karsyn Whitesides, Samantha Martin, Jacklin Fleifel and Victor Fleifel; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bobby and Betty Brooks of Forest City, NC; brother, Wayne Timmons and wife Joy of Spartanburg; sister, Ann Sawyer and husband James of Inman; sister, Sue Hill of Spartanburg; brother, Gene Timmons and his wife Darlene of Inman; brother, James Timmons of Spartanburg.

The family will receive friends at Seawright Funeral Home on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. James Price officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Splawn, Ray Moore, Robbie Moore, Kyle Gillespie, Al Spicer and Joel Price. Following the service, burial with Masonic Rites will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, SC. After the burial the family will receive friends at the home.
