David Hoyle Strickland

David Strickland went home to be with the Lord and Savior on March 31, 2026, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 26, 1939, in Spartanburg County to the late Cheave Strickland and Clara Alley Strickland.

He was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg where he served in many ways to the church and was part owner of B&L Mechanical in Greenville, SC for 17 years.

He has been married to the love of his life, Linda P. Strickland, for 64 years.

He is loved and cherished by his family, daughters, Pam Donald (Tim) and Jill Morris (Brian),

grandsons, Ben Morris (Caroline), Nathan Morris (Tori), Kevin Morris (Gracie), along with three great grandchildren, Liza Morris, Cade Morris, and Mack Morris, two sisters, Carol Harrison (Wendell) and Amelia Harris (Ronnie).

The family will receive friends between 10:00 am – 11:30 am on Friday, April 3, 2026, at First Baptist North Spartanburg, 8740 Ashville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29316. Funeral services to honor David will be at 11:30 am officiated by Dr. Michael Hamlet. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to First Baptist North Spartanburg or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105
