David B. Free, Sr.

David Belton Free, Sr., 80, of 290 West Road, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. David was born in Union, South Carolina, on March 8, 1939, a son of the late David B. Free and Margaret Calvert Free. He was the husband of Janet Preslar Free. He was a retired fire prevention ranger with the South Carolina Forestry Commission, a former member of the South Carolina National Guard and of the Baptist faith.
David is survived by a son, David "Petey" Free and his wife, Janet, of Pacolet, South Carolina; a daughter, Dana Allison; a step daughter, Sandra Bryant and her husband, Rick, of Campobello, South Carolina; two step sons Steve Osborne and his wife, Brenda, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; Mark Osborne and his wife, Gwen, of Vale, North Carolina. Mr. Free is also survived by a sister, Carol Heatherly and her husband, Ed; and a cousin, Charles Vaughan and his wife, Evelyn, of Anderson, South Carolina.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. The family is at the residence.
