David Raymond (Buck) Bumgarner, 70, of 126 High Drive Spartanburg, passed away Wednesday, December 26th, at Regional Hospice Home.
Buck was born in Hickory, NC on August 20, 1942, a son of the late Ivey (Shook) and Floyd Raymond Bumgarner. He was the husband of Leila "Becky" Smith Gregg Bumgarner and worked as a truck driver.
He was a member of Living Water Community Church and had served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jane Yevette Bumgarner of Hickory, NC, two sons, David Allen Bumgarner of Cadiz, KY, Floyd Wayne Bumgarner of Newton, NC, a sister, Dianne B. Bailey of Claremont, NC, three step daughters, Wanda Gregg of Charlotte, NC, Cindy Bartlett and husband Terry of Inman, Sandra Ridings and husband Tex of Moore, SC, 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 5 step grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy B. Travis.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday 7-9:00pm at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Living Water Community Church at 3:00pm on Sunday, December 30th, with Rev. Frank Bryant officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs.
