Darrell Clytus Blanton, 64, of 127 Casa Loma Street, Inman, passed away Wednesday, October 19th, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Darrell was born in Spartanburg on February 23, 1952, a son of the late Bertha Adell Bates Blanton and Clytus Blanton.
He retired from automobile sales. Survivors include a daughter; Julie McCombs (Scott) of Chesnee, two sisters; Coleen Grigg (Donald) of Inman, Cheryll Blanton of Spartanburg, and a brother; Marty Blanton (Kim) of Inman, his grandchildren; Maisie, Violet, Isaac McCombs all of Chesnee, a special lifetime friend, Donnie Mitchell of Inman, and his girlfriend, Diane Bridges of Inman. He was predeceased by a son, Justin.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 22, 2016 conducted by Rev. Monty King. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mobile Meals PO Box 461 Spartanburg, SC 29304.
