Danny Joe Hayes, 65, of 536 Holly Run Court, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hayes was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on December 31, 1950, a son of the late Polly Hill Simmons. Danny served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Danny is survived by a daughter, Candayce Chapman and her husband Chris, of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; two brothers, Wayne Simmons and his wife Lynn of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Billy Simmons and one granddaughter, Taylor Chasteen of Fountain Inn, South Carolina.
In addition to his mother, Danny was predeceased by a sister, Wanda Simmons.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016, at Shiloh Memorial Cemetery in Inman, South Carolina.
The families are at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256
