Danny James Ballew, Sr.

Danny James Ballew, Sr., 69, of 12 G Street, Inman, SC, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, SC.

Danny was born in Spartanburg, SC on October 27, 1956, a son of the late Mazie Lee (Thompson) Peace and James Sylvester Ballew.

He worked as manager at the Fresh Market and attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Inman, SC.

Danny is survived by a daughter, Elisa Barbare, of Taylors, SC; three sons, Austin Ballew (April), of Inman, SC; William Ballew (Danielle), of Greer, SC; Danny Ballew, Jr. (Amy), of Townville, SC; two sisters, Tammy Layton (Kevin), of Roebuck, SC; Elaine McCravy (Junior), of Inman, SC and 5 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Nikki Ballew and his stepfather, William Walter "Cricket" Peace.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31st at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1st at Seawright Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman.
